I love Xena!
I love the series, the character, the story ... simply everything!! 

So sooner or later it had to happen that i recreate a look of Xena, shown in an episode. I'm watching all seasons at the moment and yesterday I saw "Who's Gurkhan" and OMFG, I just HAD to do that black and golden harem look.

After 25 years Gabriel wanted to visit her home but when the girls arrived there they found out that Gabriel's niece Sarah got kidnapped by warlord Gurkhan for his harem years ago so Xena and Gabriel travelled to northern Africa to rescue her.

But since I have my own associations when I think of black and gold and egyptian atmosphere I changed it a little bit ;)
So I came up with this:

Woohoo, I got my first Liquid Metal from Illamasqua *_* I'm so happy...
Of course I had to try it out immediately.

My friend Tina visited me and brought my Beauty UK Palette. We did a collective order so i got many new things last weekend XD

However, I got inspired even just from looking at my new goodies and what happened was the following:

Okay, the eyeliner was quite tricky, but in the end it was worth the effort. ^^
And oh my god, the Liquid Metal of Illamasqua goes on sooo easily and smooth ... In my collection I have similar products (from the drugstore) to compare it with ... Completely other dimensions!! I definitely will get some other colours of that product!

Also i have to say that I was surprised how good the quality of the Beauty UK palette was. Well pigmented and easy to blend.

Yellow is not a common colour when it comes to make up...

Hera

Hey, I'd like to introduce the first character of the Greek Mythology Series, Hera.

She is the wife and also the sister of Zeus and so the daughter of Kronos and Rhea.
One time a year she's sleeping with Zeus on the Island Samos, where she was born. Bathing in Imbrasos makes her a virgin again.
Hera is very jealous, because her husband is really unfaithful. His bastards are hunted and cursed.

Her function is protecting marriage and birth and as Hera Zygia she is the patron of the wedding night.

When i think about Hera, always violet eyes and peacock feathers come to my mind. So this look was not really planned, it just came to my mind of its own volition.

Sol

Okay, so here it is, the northern goddess of the sun, Sol.

Her brother Mani is the god of the moon.
Sol is driving in her coach across the sky with her horses Arvakr and Alsvidr. A shield called Swalin protects from the heat of the sun.
Sol is hunted by the huge wolf Skalli. When he comes closer than before a solar eclipse follows. And when the world ends at Ragnarök Skalli will devour Sol, her coach and her horses.

What i thought about Sol:
Except of red, yellow and orange in my face (fire and sun, but also spirit and energy) I wanted to use much black to symbolize coal. So my hair was dyed again and a black top was added.

Hel

Finally i did Hel and I'm quite disappointed about the quality of the pictures.
But okay, I think everything that's important is visible.

What I thought about Hel:
She is a daughter of Loki and the goddess of the underworld. Many sources say that her body is half woman half corpse. But i didn't want to do a skull over the half of my face because so many people did it for their halloween make up...
Hel is not only the name of the goddess but also of the underworld itself. (That's where the word "hell" is from.)
Everybody, the good and the evil, come there. But there're differences in treating them. Rapists and murderer must walk through the toxic streams around Hel's castle and the dragon Nidhöggr lives on their corpses...

I wanted to create sharp edges to show the borderline between life and death. The blended black on the temples should demonstrate the deep shadows of Hel's world.

I'm sorry, it took another week to find the time to do this look. But finally I managed it.
